Skills Development: Lip Syncing Task

Our first task was to create a small music video showing the core skill of lip-syncing. Before we started we discussed what song we should choose to do for our task.

The song had to have easy memorable lyrics so that people we chose would know what to sing

In the end we decided to choose the song Amarillo by Tony Christie. After filming we firstly imported all the video files in Adobe Premiere Elements. We then imported the chosen song and then put the clips into a rough order in line with our chosen song. We then proceeded to by using the cutting tool to remove parts of our film that were not needed and helped make it easier to lip sync the clips.

Then we moved the frames slowly one by one, so that we could then match the cut up clips in time with the soundtrack.

So we could here if the people in the video were in tune and in time with the song we altered the volume of the soundtrack so we could here the diegetic sound of the original clips along with the soundtrack so we could match the lip syncing with the actual song

After we successfully put all the cut up footage in time with the song, we then lowered the sound of the video footage and then raised the volume of the soundtrack so that the original soundtrack was only heard so it made it look like that the actors in the video were singing.
